Historian Dr. Vladelen Sirotkin has claimed on Russian daily "Izvestiya's" website forum that Anastasia Romanova is still living. He maintains that genetics experts have carried out 22 specialized studies. Moreover, photograph specialists conducted comparative expertise studies of young Anastasia and the elderly woman in question, and handwriting analyses were carried out.

The dependence on corporate investors is preventing the constitutional right of offering unbiased news from being fulfilled, Russian president Vladimir Putin declared at a meeting with media conference delegates in the Kremlin. The solution, the president said, is to allow the industry economic independence, and to make the advertising industry - the most important source of the media industry's financial prosperity - as transparent and free from obstacles as possible.
